Brief: To create a large, domestic garage to house the clients collection of classic cars and motorbikes in environmentally controlled conditions.

 

Location: Within the large garden of the client's house. Set in an existing sunken garden, shielded by mature trees this prevented any detraction from the main house, and protected the neighbours views.

 

Design: The design solution was a simple pitched roof, extended to form an overhang, which added depth to the facades. A palette of natural materials was chosen (cedar cladding, slate roof and brick plinth) permitting the building to sit comfortably in its wooded setting.
